Connect your OpenAI account and pay them directly for what you use. PresetDock takes nothing.
for those who already have one
Four things worth knowing before spending anything.
Nothing held hostage: the library you catalogued stays browsable and your presets still open in your own software. What pauses is search, filters and import — the features that make the app useful across thousands of presets. They come back with the licence, along with everything you had.
No. You pay once and the app is yours, updates included. There is nothing to cancel because there is nothing that renews.
No. The code is your licence: reinstall the app, paste it again and everything is back as it was, remaining AI credits included. Keep the purchase email — the code is in there. You can also use it on two computers of your own, say a desktop and a laptop.
Not yet: today PresetDock is Windows 10 and 11 only. Better to say so here than let you find out after downloading. If you're on a Mac and want one, write to me: how many of you there are is the only thing that decides whether and when it arrives.
One question asked in plain language — “an ambient delay in the style of U2”, “something dirty for a hard rock riff”. Behind it are two calls to the model: one to work out what you're after, one to pick and justify the presets. Searching by name, filtering by brand or browsing by artist consumes nothing: that all runs on your computer.
Because the rest runs locally and costs nobody anything. The assistant queries a paid model: every question has a small but real cost. Charging for what you use is the only way to keep it switched on without turning the app into a subscription.
The question and the metadata of the candidate presets: name, amp, effects, band.
Never the .hlx files, never your folder paths, never your library as a
whole. If you connect your own OpenAI key, the PresetDock service drops out of the
picture entirely.
You get a code in the form PD-XXXX-YYYY and paste it when the app asks.
Credits are added to the ones you already have: buying a second pack does not wipe
the first.
Prices are in euros. VAT or sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your country, and the invoice is issued by the reseller handling the purchase.
14 days of the full app, no card and no account: decide afterwards, with your real library in front of you.
