Refunds and right of withdrawal
Last updated: 13 August 2026
The point of this page: the 14-day free trial exists precisely so you can decide before paying, with your real library in front of you. If you paid anyway and something is wrong, write to info@presetdock.com — it gets sorted.
Before buying: try it
PresetDock downloads and runs for 14 days with every feature unlocked, no credit card and no sign-up. It is the best way to check that it works with your files on your computer: no description on a website is worth as much as your own library open inside the app.
Right of withdrawal on digital content
By law, consumers in the EU and UK have 14 days to change their mind. For digital content supplied immediately there is a specific rule, though: the right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose it (art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, in Italy art. 59(o) of the Consumer Code).
In practice: at checkout you are asked to confirm that you want your licence code right away and that, by receiving it, you waive the withdrawal right. It is a tick box, and you are the one who ticks it. If you do not tick it, the code still reaches you but you keep the 14 days to change your mind — and exercising that just takes an email.
When I refund anyway
Beyond what the law requires, a refund is granted if:
- the application will not start or does not work on your computer and we cannot solve it together;
- the licence code has never been activated and you ask within 14 days of purchase;
- you bought twice by mistake, or bought the wrong product: the duplicate is refunded in full, no argument;
- an AI credit pack was not credited to you — although here the first thing to do is write to me, because it is almost always an order that needs assigning by hand, and the credits arrive without refunding anything.
When I do not refund
- AI credits already used: every search has a real cost that has already been incurred. Unused credits, on the other hand, are refundable;
- requests arriving long after purchase, where the app has been used normally and nothing went wrong;
- the absence of a feature that was never promised — the Mac version, for instance, is declared non-existent on the site before you download anything;
- not liking the presets you own: PresetDock organises your files, it does not create them.
How to ask
Write to info@presetdock.com with the email address used for the purchase and, if you have it handy, the order number. No long justification needed: one line about the problem is enough, and it genuinely helps fix things for whoever comes next.
I reply within 3 business days. Where a refund is due it is processed within 14 days and returned to the payment method used for the purchase; how quickly it then shows up on your statement is up to your bank.
Who actually issues the refund
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record, so the money comes back from them, on my instruction. You can contact them directly, but writing to me is faster: I am the only one who can see your licence code and its status.
What happens to the code after a refund
A refunded licence code is revoked: the app returns to read-only mode and any remaining AI credits are cleared. The library you catalogued, your favourites and your notes stay untouched on your computer, and come back if you buy again later.
